CT Scans = Chaotic Thoughts Scans

Source: Choosing Widely Canada

This is an effort to write my thoughts in an structured way, hoping to make better sense of them. Is this a blog? I guess that’s the best term I can come up with now. Below I describe why I chose this name.

Chaotic because that’s the nature of my thoughts. I’m constantly reading different topics (neuroscience, algorithms, startups, economy, marketing, art, philosophy) and talking to different people (control engineers, material scientists, CEOs, dancers, fashion designers, politicians). However, I dedicate little time to analyze them. I believe that writing is not about changing characters, but neurons. Maybe through writing I can get my neurons to produce more structured ideas, we’ll see.

Thoughts are in constant flux and can’t be stopped (with meditation you can learn to stop them momentarily, if you are very good). When your thoughts are out there, like when you convert them to spoken words, they literally become real in the form of physical waves traveling the air. In this case they become real through the internet, which is a more powerful medium with far more leverage than air.

Scans because I intend this to be a short format. Computerized Tomography (CT) scans are taken using a big machine that shoots X-rays to your body and then use algorithms to produce a visual slice of your body (brain, heart, lungs, bones). They are used by doctors to quickly examine someone, but usually leave them with a rough idea and lots of questions. I intend this to follow exactly that format, rough idea and lots of questions. The internet is full of people who have the “answers”, I just want to have more and better questions.
